WHAT IS ENDOVASCULAR LASER TREATMENT ?

This is a minimally invasive procedure to treat the vein. The procedure involves thermal ablation of varicose vein intraluminally. During the procedure a laser fibre is inserted inside the vein, once inside the laser fibre is fired, producing heat thus ablating the vein. Following which the vein contracts. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia or with sedation. Patients are able to walk after a few hours & generally return to normal activity within a couple of days.
